Thanks for posting about this. I appreciate your individual voice here on the sphere. I like speaking with you and chewing on ideas that we both think. This post has got me thinking a lot.
I like watching TMZ. The perverse perspective of some of the youth of our day shown via the "Jersey Shore" show was so bad it was good to me.

In relation to your post, it has me thinking about my involvement with Fat Acceptance. I agree that there is a lot of wrong and misinformation out there about fat. When Obama pointed out his wife and used the words like "childhood obesity epidemic" I was disheartened.

I don't want to give up my TMZ (a guilty pleasure) yet I agree that watching it may be part of the problem. Do I get blacklisted by certain elements of the FA movement because I like to hear what the young, sexy, and affluent holly-wooders are doing?

I totally see the honor and integrity in your post about this.

I certainly do not want kittens to die, and I do not support the institutional shaming and denigrating of women... (I think)

I wonder if my lack of understanding, or education about feminism, makes me culpable.

Can I watch TMZ and Chelsea Lately, and The Soup, and still honestly and accurately maintain my self concept of a man who respects women?

Thanks for a thought provoking post
