  1. I think it’s funny that the one character that says you have to accept yourself for who you are is represented by a salmon swimming upstream.

  2. There’s something so sad in the relationship between the mother and daughter represented by the pigs. It’s as though they can’t be positive with each other, can’t accept the other might be able to say something nice. When the mother pig says the daughter has a nice body shape, the daughter can’t hear it – has to say something about “yes, under all that fat”. Very sad.

  3. @ Earwig: Yes I caught that too. But it also begins with the mother saying that the daughter would be so pretty if only she wore lipstick, and then won’t let the daughter change the subject. I had the feeling later, hearing that part about “under all that fat” that this wasn’t the first time this line was spoken between them and that the mother is the one to usually say it. Very sad indeed.

  4. First of all, claymation is so amazingly cool! I found it a brilliant interpretation of mannerisms, voices and unscripted dialog. having amusing animals express ideas is a great way to explore personal questions without having a person’s face or body to pre-judge. the mother/daughter, friend/friend and husband/wife interactions, were touching and felt very true. thanks for posting. I know I would not have found this otherwise!
